As I consider fasting, the Lord has been encouraging me to fast from one specific thing: Noise. Consider what the Lord is saying in Isaiah 55:1-3.

Isa 55:1 NASB - "Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.
Isa 55:2 NASB - "Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance.

If I were to write my own song of all songs, oh how words would fail me. How does one confine within the fine lines etched on a page the thrill, the perfection, the unspeakableness of glory that my spirit experiences as his skirts brush by? For I am the one that lies by on the dirty road as He and His disciples walk together. Oh how my soul leaps with pure joy as it is brushed with the most faint touch of the very hem of His most outer garment. “It is enough,” my soul declares as perfection penetrates my very being.

Elimination of waste
You need to get rid of what you ate yesterday. Your system needs to be purged of the old that has collected and is now detrimental to your overall health. As you eat and ruminate on the new and living way, the old waste will be pushed through.
