But one who prophesies is helping others grow in the Lord, encouraging and comforting them. - 1Corinthians 14:3 NLT

Be ready for His glory

The Lord has been speaking to His people about His glory coming to earth. In the past week or so, two of my friends that know the Lord’s voice have had dreams in which the glory of the Lord appeared. That’s exciting to me. However, a common thread in both dreams concerns me. In one of the dreams, only 30 or 40 people were present when His glory came.

What in the world's going on?

Many people I know are asking this question, or one similar. As I mentioned in another entry, the spiritual climate of our country changed when Mr. Obama was elected president. President Obama does not uphold the Word of God. America aligned herself with his perspective when she overwhelmingly elected him over McCain. The following is an entry from my journal right after the election.

Temptation has changed her clothes

Temptation has changed her clothes. She has become more civilized and acceptable. No longer is she the obvious scantily dressed hooker on the bad strips in town. No – you do not need risk being seen in such a place. No longer is she dressed in business attire in the work place. Why would you risk getting caught in a messy affair?

Judgment?

Below is my attempt to explain what I have been hearing about judgment. I feel it necessary to share with you what the Lord has been showing me. In a nutshell, He is calling us as a church, the 'church' in America, to humble ourselves, to repent of our worldliness, to become spiritual and led by the Spirit, to follow the outline of Joel 2:12-17.

Neurologist appointments and football games

I had to go to a new neurologist last week. I was very nervous to go, obviously… It’s not everyday a fairly young woman gets to go to a neurologist. My first neurologist referred me to this new doctor as he didn’t know how to further dictate my treatment. So, imagine the thoughts going through my head. I was very intimidated with the thought of going to this new doctor.

The Cavern

I met with a friend today to pray. Before we began we discussed a few things that we wanted to pray about that affect our daily lives. The things that we were talking about seemed trivial in comparison with the great and amazing things the Lord has revealed and continues to reveal to us through His Word and the illumination of the Holy Spirit.

Tenacious Elisha

In I Kings 19:16 the Lord instructs Elijah to anoint Elisha to be prophet in his place. We see this happen in verses 19-21. Elijah threw his mantle on Elisha as he was plowing in the field. Elisha ran after Elijah, seemingly wanting to discuss this arrangement. Elijah’s response? “Go back.” Amazing – immediately after calling Elisha, Elijah told him to go back. What did Elisha do?

This is what the Lord said to me as I prayed with a friend regarding a problematic situation within the church we attend.
